Tomorrow is the official start of spring! To usher in the new season, we’re featuring some fresh front entries loaded with inviting curb appeal.
Check out 10 front exterior remodels from Fort Collins, Loveland, and Livermore in the B&A slider gallery below.
FRONT EXTERIOR REMODELS
(Before) When it came to the home’s original exterior, our clients wanted to remodel its uninviting front stoop, turquoise green paint, and blonde brick siding. (After) Today, they love their new front porch, covered seating area, and classic farmhouse color palette. Adding a second window to the garage (far right) also created more symmetry on the front of the house, boosting curb appeal. See the full interior and exterior gallery of this Fort Collins remodel.
(Before) The original midsection of this Livermore ranch house lacked windows, design continuity, and a clear focal point for the front entrance. (After) The finished addition includes clerestory windows and a central covered veranda with its distinct French-door entry. Our team matched the rough-sawn vertical plank siding, metal roofing, and other exterior finishes to make the update appear original to the rustic home. (Before) This 1970s ranch home on Lake Loveland felt too cramped for a young, active family, and the exterior lacked curb appeal. (After) The new 5-bedroom, 6-bath custom home allows the family to entertain, takes advantage of lakefront views and access, and is fully automated with smart-home technology. The modern front exterior is visually stunning, too. View the full gallery in “Lake Loveland Family Home.”
(Before) As part of their whole-house remodel in Loveland, our clients needed more storage space for their cars, truck and boat. They also wanted an exterior refresh that included new doors, stone façade, and landscaping. (After) Garage additions to both the north and south ends of the home provide ample space for vehicles and storage, including a convenient pull-through design ideal for hauling and storing their boat. On the front exterior, a bubbling stone fountain, extensive landscaping, new doors and lighting, and updated stone siding make a positive first impression. (Before) The colonial-style elements of this original front entry didn’t reflect the homeowners’ Asian-inspired taste. (After) The natural cedar door is warm and inviting. Like a magnet, it draws visitors up the new walkway that is lit by lantern glow at night. View more before-and-after photos of this Fort Collins renovation in “Japanese Inspired Remodel.”
(Before) The original 2-bedroom, 2-bath house was built in 2000, and didn’t fit the style or needs of its new family. (After) The second-story addition doubled their living space, and the new contemporary design and color palette create a welcoming new front entry. (Before) Our client was bored by his boxy detached garage in Old Town Fort Collins. In its place, he wanted a one-of-a-kind garage with whimsical front exterior details. (After) The result is a modern take on a storybook cottage with loads of character. Check out more photos of the garage, and explore the fully renovated home, in “Eclectic Remodel in Old Town.”
(Before) The homeowners loved the bones and character of their family farmhouse, but the exterior needed an update. They also wanted to relocate the front entry for easier access and to repurpose interior space. (After) The home looks sharp with a newly shingled roof, board and batten siding, new windows, and a fresh coat of crisp white paint. The original front entry is now a sunny, cozy reading room. See the full interior and exterior renovation in the gallery “Family Farmhouse Remodel.”
(Before) The original front door and side gate lacked character, and the solid French doors made the interior foyer dark and uninviting. (After) The new French doors and side gate — fabricated with matching custom metalwork — elevate the front entry’s appeal. And because the new front doors have frosted glass, the interior foyer is now flooded with natural light. (Before) This midcentury home enjoyed a premier location on the beautiful shores of Lake Loveland, but the interior and exterior were tired and dated. (After) In addition to completing this front exterior facelift, our team created a master suite, and removed several walls, to deliver a more open, generous and inviting floor plan.
