There’s nothing like seeing before-and-after photos, side by side, to show the power of a good transformation. This month, we’re showcasing one of the most utilized rooms in any house: the BATHROOM.
Check out some of our favorite bathroom remodels from Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor and Livermore in the B&A slider gallery below.
Bathroom Remodels
(Before) The old bathroom was located in a spot that wasn’t ideal – right off the busy farmhouse kitchen. (After) The new main bathroom boasts artisan floor tiles and much-needed privacy in its new location off the hallway. View the full photo gallery.
(Before) Every surface of this master bathroom, including the counter, was covered in drab brown tiles. The shallow sink basins were difficult to use without making a mess, and the room felt dated. (After) The remodeled bathroom is clean and bright, and each undermount sink is positioned below a mirror. See more before-and-after photos from this Fort Collins bathroom remodel.
(Before) The original bathtub overpowered the space and the room lacked storage. (After) The remodeled bathroom includes his and her sinks with separate vanities and floor-to-ceiling cabinetry. Crystal orb pendants hang over a deep, luxurious slipper tub neatly tucked into the corner. Browse more before-and-after photos from this Fort Collins kitchen and bathroom remodel.
(Before) Glass block and other finishes felt outdated, reminiscent of the 1990s. The shower was dark, and one sink wasn’t practical for two people. (After) New tiles, his and her sinks, rich cabinetry and gold accents bring this master bathroom up to date. Floor-to-ceiling glass, and an undermount bathtub, create a modified wet room and steam shower experience. (Before) The layout in this bathroom was compartmentalized and awkward, proving tricky to maneuver as the homeowners grew older. (After) The new bathroom is more open and accessible to safely age in place. View the full gallery of this home remodel in Livermore.
(Before) Cherry cabinets, brassy hardware, busy wallpaper and stained carpeting overwhelmed the original master bathroom. (After) Sliding shoji screen doors, a shared mirror suspended between two sinks, and warm cedar paneling create a calm and balanced bathroom sanctuary. (Before) The old master bath with its single sink and exposed toilet lacked adequate space and privacy. (After) The new master bathroom includes a double-sink vanity with toe-kick lighting, loads of storage, walk-in shower, private water closet, and a freestanding tub to soak in views of the lake. (Before) This bathroom felt tired and needed an update. (After) Although the layout of the bathroom didn’t change, the new finishes—including brick-looking porcelain floor tile, and the rustic hickory vanity—make it a knockout. Check out the full whole house remodel.
(Before) The original jetted tub, tiny shower stall, builder-grade materials and lackluster finishes had to go. (After) A wide bench runs the full length of the new 4-foot by 12-foot steam shower with his and her rain heads, body sprays and massage heads with settings customized for each person. (Before) The original vanity and counter were installed at the old industry standard of 30 inches – a low, back-breaking height for our client – and the bathroom had a large soaking tub that was never used. (After) We installed a new vanity with today’s standard “comfort” counter height of 36 inches. Knowing there was another tub in the guest bathroom, we removed the large soaking tub in the master and replaced it with a bigger, no-threshold shower.
