There’s nothing like seeing before-and-after photos to show the power of a good renovation. This month, we’re showcasing one of the most popular projects we do: the bathroom remodel.
Check out six of our favorite bathroom transformations — some subtle, some striking — in the B&A slider gallery below.
Bathroom Remodels
(Before) The carpeting in the primary bathroom never felt truly clean, and our clients craved fresh cabinetry, new shelving and more light. (After) New melamine cabinets with modern finger-pull hardware better captures the mid-century look they love. Porcelain tile flooring is easy to maintain, and its marble-like veining elevates the overall look. Fresh paint, a three-orbed pendant light, backlit mirrors, toe-kick lighting, and underlit shelves serve to brighten the space.
(Before) In the same home, the existing powder bath also failed to reflect our clients’ appreciation of mid-century modern design. (After) New lighting, a minimalist mirror, and floating vanity with vertical detailing, create beautiful tie-ins to the home’s thoughtful mid-century design plan. (Before) Whenever family came to stay, our client had to share her only bathroom on the main floor with everyone. (After) By building a small addition, we created space for a much-needed second bathroom on the second floor. The clawfoot tub fits perfectly under the window, and the crisp white walls, ceiling and window trim make the room feel spacious. Bold black accents give it style. (Before) Our client valued the architectural character and aesthetic of their primary bathroom in Timnath. However, extensive water damage behind the original shower and hardwood flooring required a full renovation. (After) We preserved the original layout and chandelier the homeowner loved, while introducing new mirrors, richer finishes and a freestanding tub for modern elegance. (Before) The homeowners described their existing primary bathroom as a dark and musty cave that lacked storage. (After) “Every shower is now the best shower of my life,” says our client, who now considers her bathroom a true spa-like sanctuary. The new cabinetry, with added storage, is a life-saver. (Before) This shared Jack-and-Jill bathroom between the children’s bedrooms lacked character and felt wood-heavy. The sharp metal doorframe of the shower was a safety issue at bath time. (After) The metal shower frame was removed, and the fully updated bathroom is delightful. Fun checkerboard tile flooring, champagne bronze fixtures, and terracotta fish-scale tiles surrounding the new tub, infuse a warm, playful energy to the space.
