There’s nothing like before-and-after photos to show the power of a good remodel. This month, we’re showcasing one of the most popular home improvement projects across northern Colorado—the kitchen remodel.
Check out 6 kitchen transformations from Loveland, Fort Collins and Red Feather Lakes in the B&A slider gallery below.
KITCHEN REMODELS
(Before) This Loveland kitchen was walled off from the living room—obstructing sight lines, blocking windows, and interrupting flow between the two rooms. It also lacked an island with seating, making it even more difficult to entertain. (After) The new open-concept kitchen enjoys a large island, abundant natural light, and easy access to both the living room and backyard when gathering with friends and family. By removing the interior walls of the kitchen, the entire main floor of the home feels more modern, spacious and inviting. Explore this award-winning renovation in the “Light and Bright 90s Loveland Remodel” gallery.
(Before) The small island in this kitchen lacked counterspace and seating. And the antique wood-burning cookstove, while charming, didn’t warrant the large space it occupied. (After) A bigger island with generous seating encourages guests to linger, and a new prep sink and wine storage area replaced the vintage stove, improving the kitchen’s functionality. Check out this Red Feather Lakes whole-house renovation in “Mid-Mod Mountain Remodel.”
(Before) The original wall trapped the cook in the kitchen, and the outdated pass-through window was seldom used. (After) Removing the wall made the kitchen feel more friendly and appealing, and the new breakfast bar provided much-needed seating at the island. See how opening up the kitchen improved multiple rooms in this Fort Collins home in “Kitchen Remodel Before and After.”
(Before) A small dark and dated kitchen, hidden behind a wall, didn’t reflect the warm and welcoming modern mountain vibe our young clients craved. (After) With the wall removed, the new open layout improves flow and lighting, hickory cabinets add warmth, and the rough-hewn columns evoke a modern lodge feel. Two islands, each with its own sink, provide plenty of space to prep and serve food and drinks. Learn more about this Fort Collins renovation in “Colorado Kitchen Remodel.”
(Before) This historic home’s cramped galley kitchen was desperate for an update. (After) By removing a wall, we made space for a focal-point island with statement lighting, creating an open and elegant transitional design. Tour the full Fort Collins renovation of the iconic Ritter House in “Prairie Style Historic Home.”
(Before) This bungalow in downtown Loveland lacked storage and counterspace in its small kitchen, and the sink and appliance locations were awkward. (After) Our team rearranged appliances, moved the sink under the window, and added cabinetry galore—including a much-needed pantry.
