May is National Remodeling Month — the perfect time to introduce our new “Before and After” blog series that celebrates home renovation projects, large and small.

There’s nothing like seeing before-and-after photos, side by side, to show the power of a good transformation! Today, we’re kicking off the series with the room where everyone gathers. The heart of the home. The KITCHEN.

Check out some of our favorite kitchen remodels from Fort Collins, Loveland, Timnath and Windsor in the B&A slider gallery below.

Kitchen Remodels

(Before) The walls dividing the kitchen, dining and living areas created cramped spaces that discouraged gathering. (After) The new minimalist layout—inspired by Scandinavian design—is light, open and inviting. Explore the full project gallery.

(Before) Built in 1967, the original cabinets were dated and worn, and a small pass-through window provided the only natural light in the kitchen. (After) Our team removed the wall that separated the kitchen from the dining room and family room, allowing the home to breathe. See the rest of the transformation.

(Before) This home on Horsetooth Reservoir had an amazing inlet location, but its dark and wood-heavy kitchen was trapped in the 1980s. (After) The new windows, vaulted ceiling and modernized kitchen create a definite “wow” factor. View the complete kitchen remodel.

(Before) These clients were empty nesters ready for a change, including a larger kitchen inspired by French country décor. (After) We removed walls to extend the kitchen, and added French country touches, such as a custom built-in cabinet with bun feet to resemble a standalone hutch. Check out more before-and-after photos from this whole house renovation in Timnath.

(Before) This Fort Collins kitchen felt dark and closed off from the rest of the home. (After) Opening up the house, and creating an unobstructed view from the front door to the kitchen, created the light and airy feel the homeowners were after. Explore the full gallery.

(Before) This lackluster kitchen in a Windsor patio home was built in the early 2000s, and failed to meet our client’s modern luxe aesthetic. (After) The result is a sleek and luscious monochromatic showstopper. See the complete project gallery.

(Before) The original farmhouse on Donath Lake in Loveland was built on a dry stack stone foundation in 1890. Parts of the original foundation were crumbling, the home was infested with mice, and there wasn’t a square room in the house. (After) HighCraft transformed this dark and dated three-bedroom, two-bath weekend lake house into a bright, safe, and comfortable full-time home for a father and his three daughters. See the full project gallery.

(Before) This 1957 midcentury ranch enjoyed a premier location on the beautiful shores of Lake Loveland, but the interior and exterior were tired and dated. (After) This award-winning remodel offers a more open, generous and inviting floor plan with plenty of room for both family time and entertaining friends. Explore the project gallery of this whole house renovation.

(Before) This Old Town Fort Collins kitchen lacked counterspace and storage, the room was dim, and it wasn’t our clients’ style. (After) The newly remodeled kitchen ticks all the boxes for the happy homeowners. See more before-and-after photos.

(Before) The homeowners felt underwhelmed by their dated Fort Collins kitchen, and the stained trim had to go. (After) New cabinetry, gold accents, bold blue appliances, and built-in seating at the island infuses the space with personality galore. Tour the finished whole house remodel, including a second-story addition.

(Before) A wall isolated the person making dinner from the rest of the family, and made the kitchen feel dark and cramped. (After) Removing the wall was key to helping the kitchen feel light, bright and welcoming. Check out more before-and-after photos of the remodel.

(Before) The kitchen tile and cherry cabinets were too dark for our clients. (After) Our team refinished the solid-wood cabinetry, and added a white backsplash, neutral countertop and new lighting to give this Fort Collins kitchen a bright refresh. Learn more about this project’s cosmetic updates.

(Before) Counter space was limited, everything was dated, and the kitchen would bottleneck when friends and family came over. To make matters worse, the only bathroom in this Fort Collins farmhouse was located right off the kitchen. (After) The new space is light, modern and open with plenty of work surfaces. Explore the rest of the transformation here.
