With such a dry winter, we’re incredibly grateful for the rain and snowfall this May. Having said that, we don’t exactly love muddy paws and shoes making a mess of our homes. That’s why mudrooms are so amazing.

Located off the kitchen of this custom home in Berthoud is a combination laundry and mudroom, with utility sink, quartz countertops, storage cabinets and floating shelves.
The room has three doors so it can be accessed from the garage, the kitchen and the exterior of the home.
An open cubby system in white melamine provides adjustable shelves, hat and coat hooks, a rustic hickory bench, and shoe and boot storage below.

Lakeside Mudroom
Located right off the garage, this combination laundry and mudroom invites order in a busy household, catching any tracked-in mess—especially from the lake—before it enters the main living area of the home.
The smart use of space makes it easy for home organization to become a daily practice, not a chore, for the entire family.

Light and Bright Mudroom
In this home west of Loveland, custom cabinets, drawers and wall cubbies keep the daily essentials neatly organized. A generous bench makes it easy to remove and store shoes and boots.
The room’s location off the garage is efficient and convenient. Duffle bags with workout clothes get dropped at the washing machine, rather than carried through the house and forgotten in a bedroom. Backpacks and hiking gear are quickly returned to their proper places after weekend adventures.

Pet Friendly Mudroom
(Left) When closed, the frosted-glass barn door can hide temporary messes as it fills this mudroom with natural light. (Right) The exterior entrance has a dog door to contain muddy paws in a room that’s easy to clean. Tile flooring, installed in a buffalo check pattern, provides a fun burst of color.
The mudroom also features a utility sink, quartz folding counter, and an undercounter clothes hamper to sort dirty laundry. To the right of the door is a series of drying racks that retract when not in use.

Hallway Mudroom
An exterior door from the garage opens to a hallway filled with custom-built cabinets and drawers for ample storage.
(Left) The beautifully trimmed alcove with hooks is perfect for hanging jackets. (Middle) Toe kick lighting illuminates the space, leading to the powder bath at the end of the hall — with a pocket door that’s a space saver. (Right) The bathroom’s dark wall paneling and rich stain for the vanity, reflect the same warm and moody finish selections used in the mudroom.

Pool House Mudroom
The large mudroom in this custom pool house provides cubbies, baskets, lockers and hooks for guests to store clothes and personal belongings before heading outside to swim.
