Mid-Mod Mountain Remodel

Originally built in 1989, this Red Feather Lakes home had beautiful architectural details, including tongue-and-groove vaulted ceilings with beams, local stone, warm wood, and abundant windows. After more than three decades, aging systems, worn finishes, and an outdated, closed-off kitchen called for a comprehensive remodel. The redesign blends a minimalist Scandinavian feel with the home’s existing mid-century modern aesthetic. Opening the kitchen created a more functional and inviting space with a larger island, floor-to-ceiling pantry and coffee bar, prep sink, and wine storage. Throughout the home, slatted accent walls, vertical tile, reeded door fronts, leathered granite, and statement lighting complement the original character. The result honors what made this mountain home special while giving it a fresh, elevated feel for the years ahead.
