Welcome to another “Inspiring Transformations” blog post—the series where we spotlight before-and-after photos that show the power of a good remodel.
Check out 10 bedroom renovations from Fort Collins, Timnath, Loveland and Livermore in the B&A slider gallery below.
Bedroom Remodels
(Before) Our clients wanted to transform their primary bedroom into a sparkling spa-like retreat. (After) We captured square footage from a nearby guest bedroom to create a spacious primary suite, complete with a larger bathroom, restful seating area and enormous dream closet. The contemporary crystal chandelier is a dazzling focal point over the bed. Browse more before-and-after photos of this Timnath renovation in “French Country Inspired Remodel.”
(Before) The original guest bedroom had remained untouched since this home was built in the 1990s. (After) Simple cosmetic updates—including a fresh coat of paint, new hardwood flooring and base trim, and the installation of can lights and a ceiling fan—make a world of difference. (Before) This older home lacked the interior space for a main floor primary bedroom suite, and its Old Town Fort Collins lot was narrow. (After) The new primary suite addition is roomy and comfortable, yet fits the modest scale of this one-story home. The addition’s thoughtful design also maximizes living and gardening areas in the backyard.

(Before) This primary bedroom lacked interest and didn’t fit our clients’ style. (After) The remodeled space includes a statement fireplace wall with built-ins, a walk-in closet, and French doors that lead outside to a new wrap-around deck. (Before) The exposed ceiling joists and cold concrete floor of this basement bedroom needed finishing. (After) The newly remodeled guest room is warm, bright and inviting, and feels nothing like a basement. (Before) This primary bedroom felt cramped and bland, and didn’t provide the inviting oasis our clients longed for. (After) Their new spacious primary suite now occupies the entire second story of their home. Its fireplace and seating area, convenient coffee bar, spa-like shower, deep soaker tub, and shaded private balcony, create a relaxing retreat for the hardworking couple. (Before) It was time to replace the carpeting and window in this primary bedroom, which also lacked airflow and ambient lighting at night. (After) The installation of can lights, a larger window and new overhead fan improve lighting and comfort. A fresh paint color, clean hardwood flooring, and a custom wall paneling detail elevate the design. (Before) The original entrance to the primary bedroom was behind a “hidden bookcase” door and down an awkward two-step landing—proving dangerous for our clients who wished to safely age in place. (After) Wider doorways, hardwood flooring and zero transitions between rooms improve safety and accessibility. A new custom bookcase near the bed, and a large wall of windows, adds warmth and light. (Before) For years, nine-year-old Corbin shared a small bedroom with his younger sibling. The room had low popcorn ceilings and lacked any kind of personal space. (After) Corbin’s new bedroom includes a private bath, desk area, and room for his pet gecko’s terrarium. Corbin helped select the finishes, which made him even more excited about his new bedroom and bathroom. Learn how our Loveland clients involved their kids in the home remodeling process.
(Before) The original primary bedroom was small, dark and uninviting. (After) The new primary suite addition includes a new bathroom, walk-in closet, ledgestone accent wall, and a double-sided fireplace shared with the outdoor patio. Sliding glass doors add light and instant access to a private backyard lounge area. View more photos from this Loveland whole house remodel in “Northern Colorado Lake House.”
