Old Town Attic Apartment

St. Peter’s Fly Shop is a favorite retail destination in Old Town Fort Collins. The iconic and beloved building was constructed with locally quarried sandstone and completed in 1889. By 2007, the historic landmark was under new ownership and needed some TLC. HighCraft’s Scott Fetters was one of the first people to explore the unfinished attic space with the new owners. When Scott opened the door, he could hear rats running in the walls, and a bat flew past his head. “But HighCraft didn’t flinch at that,” the new owner noted. “They saw the challenges and were up for the task.” HighCraft took the attic space down to the brick, and remodeled it into a cozy studio apartment complete with living room, kitchen, sleeping area, and a bathroom under the gables with a full-height shower and clever back-to-back vanity.
