D Walker has been part of the HighCraft family for more than 20 years. He began as a trusted subcontractor starting in 2002, then joined the team as a HighCraft project manager in 2011.

As a senior project manager at HighCraft, D specializes in custom home building. He takes pride in his team’s workmanship, runs an orderly jobsite, and loves to see a project through – from staking out a piece of raw land, to handing over the keys to each finished dream home. D’s super power is taking the worry out of everything for our custom home clients, and his attention to detail is nothing short of remarkable.

“HighCraft is dedicated to each and every client and we will not cease until the job is right. That’s what I love about our team.” – D

LIKES: History, the outdoors, bands like Boston and Kansas (it’s “More Than a Feeling” for D), and the former San Diego Chargers.

DISLIKES: Rap music, spicy food, and being called by his full first name: DeForest.

More than meets the eye:
Whether he’s competing in a Tough Mudder challenge, rappelling off a building for charity, running 200-mile relay races, or conquering another 14,000-foot peak, D is always on the move and pushing his limits.

Oh my goodness! There aren’t enough superlatives to describe our experience with D. He was the absolute best project manager one could EVER hope to work with. Attentive to every single detail … completely trustworthy on ALL counts to make sure everything went ‘according to Hoyle’ … making use of every single minute he was on the property … sensitive and dialed into our schedules, moods and needs … and totally dedicated to bringing the project in exactly as we wanted … and even wrapping it up 2 1/2 weeks ahead of schedule. – Diana and Gary

D Walker is the most amazing and capable manager we could ever hope for. His high standard of excellence kept all the subcontractors on their toes, as no detail was missed during the process. The reason the house was completed in a timely manner (unheard of these days!) was due to his accountability in all things great and small. He made sure the worksite was clean and tidy as well, which the neighbors appreciated. We give him our highest praise! – Scott and Juliette
