Older Homes Can be a Test of Character

Older homes are loaded with character and charm, and the craftsmanship can be amazing. But when it comes to remodeling timeworn houses, we’ve seen the good, the bad and definitely the ugly. Older homes are notorious for presenting a host of unique, and often hidden, design and construction issues during remodels. Many can be identified before you begin, but unfortunately some issues may not reveal themselves until you’re in the middle of the project. Check out Dwight and Bryan’s September 7th Building Solutions column in the Fort Collins Coloradoan, and learn about some of the most common must-fix surprises we’ve uncovered during renovations. And reset assured – there isn’t a surprise HighCraft can’t handle.
