A Shout Out to Colorado LEAP on Leap Day

HighCraft promotes CO LEAPWe couldn’t pass up the opportunity to post a blog on Leap Day, and we couldn’t think of a better topic to cover than Colorado’s Low-Income Energy Assistance Program, or LEAP.

LEAP is managed through the county offices of the Colorado Department of Human Services, and the program accepts applications for energy bill assistance November 1 – April 30.

Energy Outreach Colorado partners with LEAP to ensure that year-round heating bill payment assistance is available to limited-income Coloradans.

EOC LEAP recipient
Meet Theresa, a LEAP recipient-turned-donor featured on the EOC website. Earlier in her life, Theresa had the strength to leave an abusive relationship and start anew. She was grateful to receive energy bill payment assistance during this transition so she could keep her kids warm and safe. Today, Theresa is one of Energy Outreach Colorado’s many generous donors.

Energy Outreach Colorado is a nonprofit dedicated to delivering cost-effective energy assistance, emergency furnace repair, energy conservation and energy education for low-income households to maintain their well-being and encourage self-sufficiency.

We’re grateful to live and work in a state that provides such an important program!
