Our team is beyond grateful, and thrilled to announce that HighCraft received the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics from the BBB Serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming.
Over the last 27 years, the team at HighCraft has experienced incredible growth, weathered challenging setbacks, and worked harder than we ever thought possible. But through it all, we have remained true to our core values and this guiding principle:
Deliver the highest quality workmanship, and a superior level of customer service, in an industry that typically neglects both.
“Winning the Torch Award means the world to our team,” says HighCraft Owner and Founder Dwight Sailer. “The importance of living and leading a life of high moral character, in service to others, is baked into our company’s culture and core values. This award means so much because it recognizes HighCraft employees as good people who consistently do the right thing, even when nobody’s looking. Especially when nobody’s looking.”
This is the second time HighCraft has received the prestigious BBB Torch Award for Ethics. The team also won the award in 2011.
“The Torch Award embodies everything we stand for at HighCraft,” Dwight says. “Becoming a repeat winner in 2025 is a testament to our team’s unwavering integrity over the years.”
HighCraft received this year’s Torch Award at the 27th Annual BBB Celebration of Ethics ceremony on April 22 at Embassy Suites in Loveland.
Winners of this year’s Torch Award reflect “the high standard of trust and ethics in our region,” BBB President/CEO Shelley Polansky said in a recent press release. “They represent exemplary role models for other organizations to look at, whether they have been in business for years or are just starting out.”
The Torch Award program not only emphasizes the importance of building trust, the BBB explains on its website, “but also recognizes the efforts of outstanding organizations in contributing to an honorable marketplace.”
The BBB-produced video (above) illustrates why HighCraft Builders was chosen for the 2025 Torch Award for Ethics.
“In the video, we share a story from one of our first projects years ago, where we underestimated the cost but chose to honor our commitment and cover the difference ourselves,” Dwight says. “That experience shaped the way we do business today, leading us to implement a fixed-price contract and guaranteed completion date — removing surprises for our clients and ensuring accountability for our team.”
Members of the HighCraft team joined Dwight on stage as he accepted the Torch Award on behalf of the entire company (above).
The BBB Torch Award Process
Peers, colleagues and customers nominate businesses for the annual Torch Award, and an independent panel of judges select the winners.
Judges closely evaluate each nominated company against the BBB’s “Four-C” criteria: Character of the company’s leadership; fostering of an authentic Culture; care and priority placed on Customer relationships (including suppliers and other stakeholders); and, the company’s dedication to giving back to its Community.
We were delighted to receive the following congratulatory note from Jennifer Hahnke, Community Programs Manager for the BBB Serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming:
“We at BBB are pleased to announce that HighCraft Builders has again been selected as one of four outstanding business winners of the 2025 Torch Award for Ethics! We commend you for your exemplary application, which demonstrates your team’s commitment to trust and ethics through your character, culture, customer relations, and community involvement.”
HighCraft has had a profile with the Better Business Bureau for nearly 24 years, and we take pride in our hard-won A+ rating.
