Chris graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Interior Architecture and Design, and studied environmental psychology and sustainability.
As a design assistant for HighCraft Builders, Chris works closely with our in-house team of architects and interior designers to produce as-built plans, conceptual designs and 3-D renderings during the planning phase of a project. He also provides product research to source the latest materials, finishes and design applications.
Chris has a background in residential, commercial, and event production, as well as hands-on construction experience framing houses and building sets on location in Hollywood and across the nation.
“I’ve never seen anything like HighCraft’s process. To be given a budget and timeline, and stick to it – it’s just not typical in this industry. And to see the number of repeat customers, to see how HighCraft takes care of clients the way they do, is not only rare, it’s awesome.” – Chris
LIKES: Creativity, lighting design, spending time with his wife and son, running marathons, mountain biking and trail running. He loves to design and build things at home, including an aquaponic green house and custom chicken coop for his family.
DISLIKES: Monotony and boredom, people unwilling to learn and explore, and overly sweet desserts.
More than meets the eye:
Although Chris grew up in Los Angeles, the fast pace was too much and he always felt like an ant in an ant maze. Chris moved to Colorado where he earned his design degree from CSU, and then moved back to L.A. to design and build sets for Superbowl commercials, the Grammy Awards and other celebrity events. But, once again, the Fort Collins area and lifestyle called to Chris, and he happily moved his young family here to stay. Chris may have been raised in Southern California, but his heart belongs to Northern Colorado, and he’s excited to be part of the HighCraft design-build team.
