Welcome to another “Inspiring Transformations” blog post—the series where we spotlight before-and-after photos that show the power of a good remodel. This month, we’re featuring a wonderful way to add much-needed space to a home by building an ADDITION.
Check out seven of our favorite Fort Collins and Livermore home additions in the B&A slider gallery below.
Home Additions
(Before) This Old Town Fort Collins home lacked square footage, but had room to expand into the backyard. (After) Our team designed and built a primary suite addition to increase living space, while honoring the character of the original house. View the full project gallery in “Master Suite Addition.”
(Before) Our clients lacked dedicated offices for remote working. They also needed a comfortable guest suite for extended family stays. (After) The 707-s.f. addition over the garage includes office space, a wet bar, lounge area, storage room with built-in shelving, and a guest bedroom with private bath. Explore this Fort Collins remodeling project in “Home Suite Home Addition.”
(Before) Although their lot was tiny, our clients had a tall order. They wanted a one-car garage, laundry room, and primary bedroom suite—all while preserving most of their backyard. (After) We tucked the bedroom and laundry addition behind the new garage, saving trees and making room for a comfortable outdoor living space. Check out the interior photo gallery of this Old Town Fort Collins remodel in “Garage, Laundry and Master Suite Addition.”
(Before) The original two-bed, two-bath house was built in 2000, and didn’t fit the style or needs of its new family. (After) The second-story addition increased their living space, and created a jaw-dropping wall of windows in the vaulted great room. See inside this stunning Fort Collins whole house remodel in “Second Story Pop Top.”
(Before) Typical of many properties in Old Town Fort Collins, this home had only one bathroom. (After) The new second-floor gabled addition created plenty of space for a much-needed second bathroom, and it looks original to the house. View inside this addition in “Old Town Farmhouse Remodel.”
(Before) Our client loves to entertain, but her original galley kitchen and cramped living room simply weren’t up to the task. (After) Her new addition includes a bright and spacious gourmet kitchen with a large island, adjacent butler’s pantry, and a great room with a fireplace surround in Carrara marble. Tour this finished Fort Collins remodeling project in “Kitchen and Great Room Addition.”
(Before) This beloved ranch house in Livermore lacked a cohesive design, inside and out. (After) We completely replaced the central portion of the house (between the long garage on the left, and the red-gabled living area on the right) with a new addition. Among other things, it now features a welcoming front entry, larger primary suite, and a new bedroom and bath for guests. Take a look inside this beautiful rustic home in “Colorado Ranch Retreat.”
